What evidence identifies Iran as an exporter of state-sponsored terrorism? To whom and when? And what ‘high-end military hardware’ to Hezbollah and Hamas do you refer? Rockets, rifles, automatics, semtex? These are minor as compared with the high-end hardware Israel receives from the U.S.A. Regarding the need for nuclear weapons, the same question might be asked of Israel; why does it need them?

I’ve been at the receiving end of bombs in my time so yes, I’m very well aware of the feeling of which you write. This doesn’t alter my feelings about Gaza. Pack the Palestinians together like sardines, scatter settlements on the West Bank and what can you expect? Treat people like animals and they’ll behave like them. As to bullying, that is a matter of fact as well as opinion.

My hope is that Israel will exercise prudence and not confuse Iranian nuclear pretentions with the supply of high-end hardware to Hezbollah and Hamas.

Absurd. Allowing a nation that is the leading exporter of state sponsored terrorism, and a supplier of high-end military hardware to groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, to acquire a nuclear weapon as they are clearly trying to do so, is madness.

The fact that they are ideologically no different than a death cult should push even the most ditzy 'peace-lover' into a state of severe scepticism regarding their intentions. Especially as you have said, hey have plenty of oil, tonnes of sun, why do they need nuclear?

Perhaps you would feel differently if it was you under threat. Perhaps you would also feel different about Gaza if you were the one spending nights in bomb shelters whilst rockets filled with ball bearings rained down on you for hours.

The idea they have been bullied is shite. Nobody has given up more than Israel for peace, the Palestinians have done nothing except launch terror attacks, propagandise and twiddle their thumbs.

I for one hope Israel does stop them, the alternative for everyone is much worse.

It is certainly surreal. On that we can agree. As to its beauty, that is in the eye of the beholder. Nevertheless, the point I was making was its high economic inefficiency.

Oh, how you make me laugh! You state that the turbines cause ugliness to the landscape. Have you seen the Tehachapi Wind Farm in California? It is both surreal and beautiful. Just a thought.

A sign of the times. If the market had been truly embraced by it's targeted clientele (the local condo owners) they would have survived. I've been in there many times during peak operating hours and been the only customer. Unlike cranky old bastards things evolve.

True, Ben, possibly true, the caveat being the Peeches would have known this in their business plan. It was therefore in their area of control whereas the parking problem was not.

Art, not wanting to contradict your supposition that the lack of free parking killed the Peech, I would put it down to a number of factors, the least of which would have been a greedy and grasping landlord, the rent must have been killing them!

Academy has been used in Scotland for some decades. Our previous government peppered with socialist Scots would have imported it.
